Senators swept the Warriors last Sunday which locked them in the 3 seed for the playoffs. This coming Saturday we play at Fairport High School against the Canadians at 2:30pm. On the mound for the Senators will be Matt Castro who had a great year. If we win on Saturday we play at Fairport High School at 11am. If we lose Saturday we play at Webster Schroeder at 12pm. On the mound for the Senators on Sunday will be James Dale who was to be on the team from the begining but had signed with the Texas Rangers indepent league. Unfortunately Dale was let go by the Rangers, luckily for the Senators, just in time for the playoffs.

Senators took it on the chin Wednesday night against Fairport in a one 7 inning make-up game. After Fairport scored three in the first and one in the second the Senators couldn't catch up. They strarted their rally too late in the 7th scoring 2 but fell short. Senators host the Greys in a double header on Sunday looking forward to giving them their first loss of the year.

The Senators suffered their first loss this weekend against the Yankees. On a better note, Matt Castro is starting to look like a robot on the mound. Once again he dominated the game by striking out 13, allowing 2 hits and only 2 walks. The offense struggled but walks made it easy. At the plate Matt helped himself with one of only 2 hits for the Senators, Carmen Serrett having the other.

the second game wasn't so pretty with the score ending 14-7 Yankees. Josh Britt with the loss looked great on the mound but when the umps strike is is the size of a dime right down the gut there's not much a pitcher can do. The game was called in the 6th because of the time rule. Note: Due to an all you can eat breakfast buffet, Nick Davoli did not show up Sunday. Post game interview with Adam Ryczek:

Q: Adam, you were a no show for the first game....why?

Adam: For the first time in my life I found a girl that can tolerate the way I look, talks to me in public and doesn't deflate.

Q: Uhh ok, but you didn't answer my question, why did you miss the game?

Adam: When the short bus dropped her off I felt bad so I hungout with her for a little while until it came back to pick her up.

Q: I'm having trouble looking at you right now. How do you think she tolerates the way you look?

Adam: Well, she's blind in one eye. When we hangout she puts her eye patch over her good eye so she can't see me.

Q: That's a good idea. So is missing games on Sunday going to be a reoccuring thing?

Adam: She told me she's getting her adams apple removed on Sunday so i'll definitely be there.

Q: Well Adam i'm happy for you. If the short bus goes to FLCC the team would love to meet her

The team knew Bryan was pitching and Keith was catching but we thought they were talking about baseball. That's a risky outfit Keith...is that Gucci?

Matt Castro threw a great first game improving his record to 2-0. Although there wasn't a no hitter this weekend he was still dominant striking out 13 and only walking 2. To help the team with run support he belted a linedrive homerun in the 4th. Also at the plate Carmen Serrett went 3/4 with a triple, Pat Greer 2/2 with a double, Matt Miller 2/2, Josh Britt added a double and Colby Miller added a hit.

Josh Britt went 2-0 on Sunday in a nail biter, against the Expos, going the distance in the second game. Josh had 9 Strikeouts with 5 walks geting rattled in the last inning due to poor defense. At the plate Colby Miller went 2/4 with a double, Carmen Serrett went 2/4, Pat Greer, Keith Cummings, Bryan Benedict and Adam Ryzcek all added hits. Note: Due to over eating during the break, Nick Davoli shattered the Old Hickory so he could have a tooth pick. Post game interview with Bryan Benedict:

Q: Bryan, You got your first hit today, congradulations, but was it really a hit?

Bryan: I'm suprised you're questioning my hit, most people question my sexuality. But yes, in my mind it was a hit.

Q: That's a pretty big mind you have. Has anyone referred to you as a human wrecking ball?

Bryan: I've heard that once before but people usually call me domer or egg.

Q: Egg? They just call you egg?

Bryan: Yea, as in Egg Benedict

Q: Was your favorite video game growing up Bonks Adventures?

Bryan: Uh no, are you playing head games with me?

Q: No Bryan, you would obviously win that battle.

Opening day for the Senators look like they were trying to prove a point with a double header against the Black Sox. The wind had no effect on Greece native Matt Castro who hurled the first game. He threw a 14 strikeout no hitter with ease. He looked dominant througout the whole game only walking one batter. At the plate Colby (Mouth) Miller went 2/4 while Pat Greer, Matt Miller, Keith Cummings, Nick Davoli and Josh Britt all added a hit. A post game interview was canceled at El Parians with Matt when he was seen drinking his 32oz Desequis with a straw.

Josh Britt, from the woods somewhere, threw the second game and was also dominant. Josh was rattled in the 3rd but got out of the inning with a key strikout. In all he had 9 strikouts with only 2 walks and 1 earned run. At the plate Mouth went 3/4, Josh Britt also went 3/4 with a double and triple, Pat Greer and Nick Davoli both went 2/4 with a double and Jeff Jones went 2/2. A post game interview with Josh Britt: Note: Because the games got over at dinner time, Nick Davoli was unavailable for comment.

Q: So Josh, how's it feel to be 1-0?

Josh: "It feels great, ya know. I've never played with guys this talented before and i feel honored."

Q: You looked a little uncomfortable in the 3rd inning, what happened?

Josh: "Well, to be honest, it's hard pitching with a boner. I wear an XS cup so it was uncomfortable at first but i got used to it."

Q: Uhhh ok, next question. Your dad had the funniest comment of the day saying (about Greer stealing 3rd) "What the hell was that? looked like a woodchuck crossing the road". Are these comments going to continue?

Josh: "I hope so. It's nice hearing a funny joke once in a while. Colby Miller tries but his jokes are like his face...busted"

Q: Is there anything you would like to add?

Josh: "Yes there is.....(2 minute pause and a tear) I would like to come out of the closet...(reporter ran out of the room).
